Description

3M™ RelyX™ Temp NE is a non-eugenol, resin-based temporary cement designed for the short-term cementation of provisional crowns, bridges, and other temporary restorations. Its eugenol-free formulation makes it universally compatible with composite resin materials, ensuring it does not inhibit polymerization of resin-based cements or core build-up materials. The cement offers excellent handling properties, including easy dispensing and placement, and features extremely low film thickness for optimal marginal adaptation. RelyX™ Temp NE is also easy to remove when required, without leaving residue or damaging the prepared tooth structure.

Directions to use

Step 1: Preparation

· Clean and dry the prepared tooth.

· Ensure the temporary crown, bridge, or restoration is properly cleaned and dried before cementation.

Step 2: Cement Dispensing

· Automix version: Attach a mixing tip to the automix syringe and dispense directly into the temporary restoration.

· Hand-mix version: Dispense equal amounts of base and catalyst and mix thoroughly on a mixing pad for 20–30 seconds until a uniform color is achieved.

Step 3: Application

· Apply the mixed cement to the internal surface of the temporary restoration.

· Seat the restoration gently but firmly on the prepared tooth.

Step 4: Setting

· Allow the cement to self-cure intraorally for approximately 5–6 minutes.

· Avoid disturbing the restoration during the setting phase.

Step 5: Cleanup

· Once the material reaches the gel stage (around 2–3 minutes), remove the excess cement easily using an explorer or scaler.

· Final cleanup can be completed with floss and gentle instrument use.

Important Notes:

· Do not use on patients with known allergies to methacrylate-based resins.

· The product is eugenol-free, making it compatible with composite-based final cements and core build-ups.
