Description

AVUE AvueCal is a premixed calcium hydroxide paste supplied in a convenient syringe form for direct application. With excellent radiopacity, strong antibacterial action, and a highly alkaline pH, it is widely used in endodontics as an intracanal medicament, temporary root canal filling material, and cavity liner. Its high alkalinity neutralizes acidic conditions, promotes healing, and helps in the management of weeping canals, root resorption, and perforations.

Directions to use

Isolate the tooth and ensure complete access to the canal.
Dry the canal thoroughly using sterile absorbent paper points.
Attach the dispensing tip to the Avue Cal syringe.
Slowly inject the paste into the prepared canal or resorption defect.
Distribute the paste evenly using a suitable instrument if required.
Leave the paste for the recommended period (usually 7 days or more depending on the case).
Replace the paste at intervals until healing or hard tissue formation is confirmed.
Remove thoroughly before final obturation or restoration.
