· Type: Mineral-based root canal sealer
· Composition: Tricalcium silicate, zirconium oxide, and water-soluble polymer
1. Prepare the Root Canal:
– Thoroughly clean, shape, and irrigate the canal using standard endodontic procedures. Dry with paper points, leaving slight moisture (do not over-dry).
2. Mix the Sealer:
– Dispense the BioRoot RCS powder and liquid onto a mixing pad.
– Mix for about 1 minute to obtain a smooth, homogenous paste.
3. Apply the Sealer:
– Coat the master gutta-percha cone with the mixed sealer.
– Alternatively, use a lentulo spiral or file to apply the sealer into the canal.
4. Insert Gutta-Percha Cone:
– Insert the cone into the canal to working length. Use cold single cone or lateral condensation techniques.
5. Final Steps:
– Remove excess gutta-percha, compact, and seal the access cavity.
– Take a radiograph to confirm the obturation quality.
