1. Cut approximately 45 cm (18 inches) of floss.
2. Wrap most of the floss around the middle fingers of both hands.
3. Hold the floss tightly between the thumbs and forefingers.
4. Gently slide the floss between the teeth using a back-and-forth motion.
5. Curve the floss around each tooth and move it up and down below the gumline.
6. Use a clean section of floss for each tooth.
7. Repeat for all teeth, including the back molars.
8. Dispose of the used floss after use.
