Description

Caulk Tray Adhesive is a fast-drying adhesive formulated to improve the bond between impression materials and both metal or plastic impression trays. It ensures the impression material stays securely in place during insertion and removal from the mouth, reducing the chance of distortion. Ideal for use with alginates, polyethers, and vinyl polysiloxanes, it helps deliver precise and reliable dental impressions with enhanced tray retention.

Directions to use

· Clean the Impression Tray:
Ensure the tray (metal, plastic, or custom acrylic) is clean, dry, and free of debris or residue before applying adhesive.

· Apply the Adhesive:
Using the built-in brush applicator, apply a thin, even layer of Caulk Tray Adhesive to the internal surfaces of the tray where the impression material will contact.

· Allow to Dry:
Let the adhesive air dry for at least 1 minute. Do not accelerate drying with heat or air.

· Load the Impression Material:
Once the adhesive is dry, load the tray with the selected VPS impression material (e.g., Aquasil, Reprosil).

· Take the Impression:
Insert the tray into the patient’s mouth and allow the impression material to set as per the manufacturer’s instructions.

· Remove and Disinfect:
After the material has set, carefully remove the tray. The adhesive ensures the material remains securely bonded to the tray. Rinse and disinfect the impression if necessary.
