1. Matrix Selection
- Choose the appropriate matrix band size based on tooth anatomy and required contour.
2. Matrix Placement
- Position the matrix around the tooth ensuring full adaptation and proper fit.
3. Ring Placement
- Secure the NiTi retaining ring over the matrix band.
- Ensure stable placement to maintain firm separation throughout the procedure.
4. Wedge Insertion
- Insert a self-guiding wedge into the interproximal space.
- Confirm the wedge seats fully and creates a tight seal to prevent leakage.
5. Restorative Procedure
- Proceed with composite or compatible restorative materials according to standard clinical protocols.
6. Removal Sequence
- Remove wedges by gently twisting and withdrawing them.
- Release the retaining ring carefully to avoid disturbing the restoration.
- Slide the matrix band out without applying pressure to the cured restoration.
7. Final Evaluation
- Check contacts, contour, marginal integrity, and adjust if required.
8. Cleaning & Maintenance
- Clean and disinfect all reusable Palodent V3 components per manufacturer guidelines before storage.
