Description

Ethicon Johnson NW2304 Vicryl Sutures are sterile, synthetic absorbable surgical sutures composed of polyglactin 910. The coated Vicryl suture is indicated for use in general soft tissue approximation and/or ligation, including ophthalmic procedures, but not for use in cardiovascular or neurological tissues. The suture is braided and coated, providing smooth passage through tissue while maintaining reliable knot security. Absorption occurs through hydrolysis, resulting in progressive tensile strength loss followed by mass absorption. As an absorbable suture, it should not be used where extended tissue approximation is required.
