Directions to use
Step 1: Prepare the Tooth Surface
- Clean the tooth thoroughly to remove any debris or contaminants.
- Isolate the working area using cotton rolls or a rubber dam for moisture control.
- Etch the enamel and dentin using phosphoric acid (as per clinical protocol), then rinse thoroughly.
Step 2: Maintain Moist Dentin
- Do not overdry the tooth after rinsing.
- Ensure the dentin surface is visibly moist—this is essential for optimal adhesion using the wet bonding technique.
Step 3: Apply the Adhesive
- Shake the bottle of Medicept Bond Plus well before use.
- Dispense a few drops onto a clean mixing well.
- Apply a generous amount of adhesive to the tooth surface using a micro applicator or brush.
Step 4: Gently Air-Thin the Adhesive
- Use a gentle stream of air to spread the adhesive evenly across the tooth surface.
- Avoid pooling and ensure a thin, uniform layer is achieved.
Step 5: Light Cure the Adhesive
- Use a dental curing light to polymerize the adhesive.
- Follow the curing time recommended by the manufacturer (typically around 10–20 seconds).
- Ensure the curing light is positioned close and perpendicular to the bonded surface.
Step 6: Place the Restoration
- Once cured, proceed with placing the composite or compomer restorative material.
- Finish and polish the restoration as required.
