Hydrocal is a calcium hydroxide-based, two-paste system designed for use as a protective liner in deep cavities and for both direct and indirect pulp capping. This product helps promote healing and protects the dental pulp during restorative procedures.
The system offers easy mixing with a convenient tube/tube presentation, forming a rigid, self-setting, radiopaque material. Hydrocal is compatible with acrylic and composite restorations and does not interfere with their polymerization. It also withstands condensation forces from amalgam restorations, ensuring durability and reliability.

Directions to use
Step 1: Preparation
- Dispense equal amounts of base and catalyst pastes onto a mixing pad.
Step 2: Mixing
- Mix thoroughly until a uniform consistency is achieved.
Step 3: Application
- Apply the mixed Hydrocal paste as a liner in deep cavities or directly over the pulp for pulp capping procedures.
Step 4: Setting
- Allow the material to set; it forms a rigid and durable protective layer.
