1.    Measure the Powder and Water:

o   Use the recommended powder-to-water ratio as indicated on the package.

o   Use the provided measuring scoop and water dispenser for accuracy.

2.    Mix Thoroughly:

o   Combine powder and water in a rubber mixing bowl.

o   Mix vigorously with a spatula for approximately 45 seconds until a smooth, bubble-free consistency is achieved.

3.    Load the Tray:

o   Quickly load the mixed alginate into the impression tray, avoiding air entrapment.

4.    Take the Impression:

o   Insert the loaded tray into the patient's mouth.

o   Hold it firmly in place until the material sets:

§  Plastalgin: 2.5 to 3 minutes

§  Plastalgin Fast: 1.5 to 2 minutes

5.    Remove and Rinse:

o   Gently remove the impression from the mouth.

o   Rinse under cool water to remove saliva or debris.

6.    Disinfect and Pour:

o   Disinfect the impression if required.

o   Pour the model as soon as possible for best dimensional accuracy.
