1. Cavity Preparation
o Prepare the cavity using hand instruments or rotary tools as needed.
o Remove only carious dentin; mechanical retention is not required.
2. Cleaning
o Clean the cavity with water spray or a moist cotton pellet.
o Avoid desiccating the dentin—maintain a moist environment.
3. Mixing the Material
o Dispense the appropriate amount of Ketac™ Molar ART powder and liquid, or use pre-dosed capsules if available.
o Mix according to manufacturer’s instructions until a uniform, homogenous consistency is achieved.
4. Application
o Place the mixed material directly into the cavity.
o Slightly overfill the cavity to compensate for setting shrinkage.
5. Shaping and Contouring
o Shape and contour the material immediately after placement, using appropriate instruments.
o Avoid touching the material with fingers or unclean tools.
6. Setting Time
o Allow the material to set undisturbed for the time specified in the instructions for use.
o Protect from moisture during the initial setting phase using a varnish or petroleum jelly if necessary.
7. Finishing
o After full setting, perform final finishing and polishing using standard rotary instruments.
o Ensure proper occlusion and smooth margins.
8. Post-Operative Care
o Advise the patient to avoid chewing on the restoration for a few hours post-treatment.
No additional bonding or sealing agents are required unless specified.
